My attorney is asking $500 for filing both EAD and AP as filing fee. So was wondering how difficult it is to file by my self. Does anyone has expereince filing for renewal.?

As long as your company is generating Paystubs you are not outofstatus. but if there is an audit and if INS finds that you have not paid then its will be an problem.

but as far as the AD is concerned, an AD is for a position not for a person, if 1 AD satisfy the skill set and available position then one AD can work for multiple positions.

1) Can I do this electronically?
2) which service center should I send EAD application to? 485 sent to Texas
3) DO I need copy of original receipt or printout from the website is fine
4) Can I file for only 485 and file the AP later.
5) What documents DO I need
6) Do I need to pay filing fee?

If you can get to the soft copy of the checks usually provided by most of the banks, you can find the receipt number on the rear/back side of the check.

Doesn't matter if you only live in AZ or not! If you live in the Border Areas (North and South), or are traveling in those areas, it is better you carry it.
I never carry mine and do not intend to unless fit I the above case. I have memorized my A# and that of my spouse and am willing to go thro' to whatever rare hassle that I may face than losing my wallet and having to replace my GC for $370! Futher I do not want identity thieves getting another piece of info about me.

Hi - I am currently on H1B visa with 3 more years to go and visa stamped for next 3 years. I've got offer for Medical residency and they offer J1 only.
I am planning to change my status to J1 effective July 01 2009. Do I need to go India for visa stamping or any other procedure? Is just change of status okay?
Please help if you know anything related to this procedure.
